VI-6 Mark II Composite Video - silver screen
Video Interconnect

The VI-6 Mark II is made using silver in a PTFE Teflon insulated Silverfused center conductor, and Silverfused outer braided shield. The connectors are high quality, machined and gold-plated. In the development of this cable for the video and audio signal, we have found that the most important design aspects of its construction are the use of high quality material and, most importantly and where ours excels, is in the maintenance of ultra tight control of all dimensional tolerances. This is especially critical in the combined concentricities of the center conductor, coaxial insulator and outer braided shield. The VI-6 Mark II provides exceptional picture definition and color purity as well as significantly improved audio.

Other high-end cable companies have interconnects which sell for as much as $325.00 per meter, but none we have seen outperforms ours. We are very excited over this cable. Video enthusiasts who have auditioned our prototypes are equally impressed. The VI-6 in single cable version with RCA connectors is used as a composite cable for video only or for video and audio combined. It is also available in a component video version which is three video Cables in one sheath (jacket); and in RGB 4 wire and 5 wire versions. Connectors can be RCA or BNC. If you want to order the RGB versions or want BNC connectors, please phone us for details of construction and pricing.

EXPLANATION OF OUR PROPRIETARY SILVERFUSE CONDUCTOR MATERIAL: Silverfuse is a near alloy of silver and copper. IT IS NOT SILVER PLATED OR SILVER CLAD. Plating (or clad, which is the same thing as plating) causes a dioding effect when signal is passed through resulting in brightness and distortion. The Silverfuse process starts with seven nines OFHC copper wire with a diameter that is slightly larger than the required size. It is then pulled through a trough of molten silver. The wire with a silver deposit, is then forced through a compacting die where it is subject to tremendous pressure. The silver and the high purity copper are fused together into a near alloy. The compacting fusion also reduces the wire diameter to the desired size. No dioding subsequently occurs with this process. The result provides for the benefits of silver; which are excellent definition and clarity, with the high purity copper benefits of warmth and mellowness.
The Competition: up to $325/meter
Various connectors are available with this cable

We also have an entry level Marantz dvd player using the AC2 powercord and LAT scart lead (VI6-D) (better blacks, gorgeous picture and better sound - brilliant.)
If I'd been recommended LAT sooner obviously I would have gone with them but I'm pointing out that this kind of stuff WORKS. It may seem odd to spend this sort of money on plugs and Cables but it seriously gives your system a massive breath of life and in short your hifi will kick ass! MS 12 Jun 2004 London
