WHY
SILVER - simple, it is the best conductor of electricity,
more than four times better than Rhodium/Platinum. Aluminium is
a better conductor than Rhodium or Platinum! Our silver plated product
is treated with ProGold and of 5 to 8 micron plating to BSI standard.
IMPORTANT - prior to plating, our silver plated product is dismantled
to individual component level, including the removal of the screws.
Each component type is separately batch plated. After plating the
items are treated with an anti tarnish finish. Our plating company
is both ISO9000 and BSI registered and is an aerospace approved
plating supplier. Prior to reassembly, all the components are treated
with ProGold.
Process is very labour intensive and costly, the price we charge
does not reflect this.

Maintenance of our silver plated products
- from time to time wipe with a cotton cloth, if tarnished clean
with cotton rag wet with Caig DeOxit. This product will clean badly
tarnished items, just be patient, keep rubbing. Do not be tempted
to use any form of abrasive polish/cleaner. Eichmann solid silver
products can be cleaned with DeOxit or use a Jewellers cloth.
